Meandering In Manchester

On my first morning in Manchester I was up and out of my hotel at first light with the intention of having a good look around a City I had never visited before. There are some beautiful old buildings to see but the mix is very much old and new. I found Tram system fascinating, as a child in the 1960’s I remember the tramlines running through Reading town centre, but the trams had long gone.

It had started to rain, I understand it always does this in Manchester.  The plan was to have a look around the art gallery before checking out a few pubs, the gallery didn’t open until 10:00 and most pubs later than that, so I took in a few more sights.

9:30, half an hour to kill, I could go to Wetherspoons, but no, I chose Cafe Nero.

The art gallery was just around the corner.

There seemed to be a lot of naked men about!

It was time to find a pub.
